Description

:

A new college building comprising a 220 seat theatre, seminar rooms and student accommodation. This award winning development was the first large scale UK installation of an innovative low energy active thermal mass system. The cooling system uses pipes cast into concrete ceiling slabs, and the chilled water is generated by heat pumps. The heat pumps reject heat into pipes cast into the very deep piled sub-structure (energy piles).
